Rain frustrates Chandhok again
Karun Chandhok was again frustrated by the rain after wet conditions heavily restricted his running during Friday morning practice for the Belgian Grand Prix. Iannone takes last lap Brno win
Andrea Iannone took his second win of the year in a barnstorming Moto2 Czech Grand Prix at Brno. The Italian was part of a five-way fight for the lead for most of the race that included Marc Marquez, Stefan Bradl, Alex de Angelis and Thomas Luthi, but managed to eke out a little bit of extra pace when it really mattered. Valentino Rossi admits doubts still linger in the MotoGP paddock about the safety of returning to Motegi for the Japanese Grand Prix - although he insists the issue of radiation is no longer one of the concerns. Longtime iRacer Jim Caudill Jr. has been selected to drive a JR Motorsports Chevrolet in two upcoming late model races at Motor Mile Speedway (Radford, VA).� The announcement was made by JRM co-owner and general manager Kelley Earnhardt, who revealed that Caudill will pilot the No.� 88 Chevrolet in races on August 13 and 20, with sponsorship from iRacing.com.� He will be joined by JRM teammate (and fellow iRacer) Josh Berry, who will be driving the No. 72 R&B Chevrolet in those events. Gibbs, Toyota join forces for 2012
Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota Racing Development will join forces in a single engine programme to build NASCAR Toyota units from 2012. The leading Toyota outfit had been reviewing its engine programe following reliability issues that have hampered its this season, but instead of scrapping its own effort, JGR will add to the strengths of the TRD-built units. Joe Gibbs Racing drivers have suffered from repeated failures during the year, not only in races but also during practice sessions.
