Sebastien Ogier has taken the lead of Rally Argentina after Jari-Matti Latvala's Ford sustained a broken compression strut on SS13. Indian GP could move to December 11
Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone is considering shifting the Indian Grand Prix back to December 11 if the race is moved to help accommodate the return of Bahrain to the schedule. Although Ecclestone had originally been considering switching the Delhi event to December 4 - just one week after the Brazilian Grand Prix - to make room for Bahrain on October 30, the logistics of doing so have scuppered that idea. Instead, Ecclestone is now in discussions with teams about holding the inaugural Indian GP on December 11 - two weeks after the current season finale in Brazil.

Horner not expecting Vettel dominance
Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner says he would have no qualms about Sebastian Vettel's continued dominance killing off this year's world title chase early - but thinks that is unlikely to happen. Vettel has won four of the first five races of the campaign and leads the world title chase by 41 points from McLaren's Lewis Hamilton. There are already fears that Vettel's runaway success could lead to a dip in interest in the sport, but Horner thinks that unlikely to happen.

Raikkonen keen on road Cup race
Kimi Raikkonen says he wants to run a Sprint Cup series race at a road course, having tested Robby Gordon's Cup car last Tuesday at Virginia International Raceway. The 2007 F1 world champion said he ran few laps in Gordon's car but his test was hampered by en early off that damaged the nose of the car and then rain in the afternoon. Lotus name row verdict on Friday
The High Court decision on the Lotus naming row will be revealed on Friday afternoon when the judgement is delivered by Mr Justice Peter Smith in London. Although the case was originally heard back in March, the judge has spent the intervening time - which has also been interspersed with Easter holidays - deliberating on his verdict. Alonso never thought win was possible
Fernando Alonso said he never believed he had much of a chance of fighting for victory in the Spanish Grand Prix - despite leading the early stages of the race. The Spaniard jumped from fourth on the grid to move to the front of the pack at Barcelona, but fell down the order and off the pace when he switched to the prime tyres at his third spot. He eventually finished a lap down in fifth place ? but thinks his performance looked worse than it was simply because of his strong qualifying form and early position in the race.

The iRacing V8 Supercar Series moved to Sonoma for Week Three of Season Two, at Infineon Raceway Cup. Week One sensation Peter Read made a welcome return by joining polesitter Madison Down on the front row, less than one-tenth behind the Trans Tasman racer. Rain hampering Indy practice
Practice for the Indianapolis 500 was rained off again on Wednesday, as bad weather continued to frustrate teams' efforts to prepare for this weekend's qualifying days. So far only one of the scheduled practice days has not been affected by poor weather, with showers interrupting Saturday's running, rain forcing the abandonment of both Sunday and Wednesday, and rain and very low temperatures meaning only two cars took to the track before Tuesday's session was also called off. Nearly 18 hours of the 30 hours of running that should have been held so far have been lost to rain

Kronos to take Le Mans slot
Le Mans 24 Hours organiser the Automobile Club de l'Ouest has confirmed that the Kronos Racing Lola-Aston Martin will take the grid slot left vacant by Highcroft's withdrawal. Double American Le Mans Series champion team Highcroft announced on Monday that it was having to pull its LMP1 HPD from the 24-hour race due to funding issues and the end of its long relationship with Honda. The Kronos car had been first reserve and therefore now moves up into the field, as the former World Rally champion team and current Intercontinental Rally Challenge Peugeot squad returns to circuit and endurance racing.

Riders concerned over Motegi
MotoGP riders have expressed their concern about committing to a rescheduled Japanese Grand Prix while the country continues to have issues with the nuclear power plant damaged in March's earthquake and tsunami. The Japanese round was rescheduled from its intended April date to 2 October following the devastating natural disaster, but Valentino Rossi said riders were not confident about heading to Japan if the problems at the Fukushima nuclear plant continued.
